Hope begins at home
He kāinga, He tūmanako

2 - Visionwest

Hope truly feels like hope when it has the stability of home.

It’s the safety a child begins to feel when they no longer need to ask their parents where they will live next.

It’s the security whānau begin to know as they reclaim tino rangatiratanga, self-determination, over their budgets and meal plans.

It’s the confidence a young person claims when their new job unlocks fresh dreams and opportunities for their future.

It’s the dignity an elderly person stands in when the care they receive enables them to continue to live in the whare they know and love.

At Visionwest Waka Whakakitenga, our purpose is to walk alongside whānau as they navigate their own journey towards belonging, wellbeing, and a future where they feel at home in their own communities and lives.

Hope ceases to be an idea.
Hope becomes a reality. At home.

Hope begins at home.
